The iPhone Is No Longer A Prisoner Of AT&T Thanks To Legal Jailbreaking

Good news for future iPhone owners and of those who wish they had more options for the service! The Feds have ruled that it is legal to “jailbreak” any smartphone including the iPhone. This will hurt AT&T and Apple, as they both have teamed up together since the beginning of the iPhone. They have both stated in the past that it is “illegal” to jailbreak their phones, in order to use it with another service provider.

What does this mean? You can now use any smartphone that you wish, with any service provider that you wish to use. This will change the change the phone landscape in the long run and perhaps force phone service providers to change how they work. I think this is good news and exciting for those who are eager for smartphones and cell phones in general.

Are you planning to switch phone providers now that you can legally jailbreak?
